New Builds In The Workshop
This summer I have started the next two builds, the first is a tribute to my dad who passed away earlier this year - it is to be called the the "Reverend D" Dreadnought, - to my own design but sympathetic to the Martin D28, -with a top of master grade Adirondak red spruce with carved rear shifted European spruce bracing, back & sides of master grade highly figured Ovangkol, neck of single piece quartersawn Honduran mahogany, bridge fretboard & headplate are of African ebony. Other adornments will be - herringbone purfling to the soundboard & rosette, zipper style rear inlay, with the style of tuner that the client would like.
The second is an OM with master grade carpathian spruce soundboard, scalloped bracing, back & sides of master Indian rosewood, neck of single piece quartersawn Honduran mahogany - still open to client ideas for completion.
Please contact for further information or to secure an order for either of these guitars - it's great for a new owner to be involved & aware of the build process as the component parts come together to complete a beautiful instrument, before it starts it new life in the hands of musical creation.
Also if you have your own ideas you would like realised it would be great to discuss further.
............back to the woodshed!
